The Science Behind
NeuView: NeuView Glasses & The Brain
For well over thirty years now science has acknowledged that, while we
think of ourselves as having one brain, on a functional basis we have
two — right-brain, and a left-brain. And while there is a considerable
overlapping of functions of the two hemispheres, major differences exist.
In general, the left-brain is considered the analytic side utilizing logic
and linear reasoning. The right-brain is more intuitive, creative and
emotional.
For most people one side or the other will be dominant, and in general,
will determine how they view and experience their world. The more dominant
one side is over the other, the more it skews our perceptions and determines
our actions. We can all think of left-brain or right-brain people we know.
The accountant, lawyer, and surgeon will typically relate to the world
quite differently than the poet, painter, or performer.
We are always using both sides of the brain, shifting back and forth and
tapping into the special abilities to be found in both hemispheres. But
sometimes we get stuck on one side, unable to connect with that part of
the brain that could be most helpful. Typically, this is due to stress,
and it is the stress that compromises our ability to fluidly access the
resources we possess.
Now, with Neuview Glasses, the “right-brain person” has the
opportunity to experience his less dominant left brain, and the “left-brain
person” is introduced to his lesser known right brain. When
this occurs we are presented with an important opportunity - the
integration of knowledge and experience heretofore unavailable in our
singular view of ourselves.
